It’s Flippin’ Friday! #33

It’s Flippin’ Friday again folks! Whoo! This week sure is packed with entertainment…Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, the Kentucky Derby…and hopefully some good sales for you!

Last week we had some great flips involving a Dimensions Charles Wysocki cross stitch kit, a copy of the Open Bible, Number Knitting book, a jewelry box (with some hidden treasures!),  and 8 boxes of Mason jars.  Interesting stuff!

Do you have a flip you ‘d like to share? Simply put your “flip story” in the comment section below…always appreciated!  And I get asked about my flips from time to time….you can find my flips at the top of my main page under the title “FLIPS”.  I try to keep it updated as much as I can.

Happy hunting to all of you and Happy Mother’s Day to all of our moms!

I got one! I picked up a game the other day, called Omega Virus made in 1992. Sitting there all innocent like at GW but you know how sometimes you see things and you just know? I swear this game had a halo around it (could have been the virus). Paid 4.99, sold it for $120.00. Yeah baby!!:)

I spotted a Mccoy planter at a yard sale a couple of weeks ago and picked it up along with a bunch of metal bits. I ended up paying $5 for the whole lot. About 25 cents each for the things I bought. I sold the 1938 Mccoy planter this week for $25.00. I looked the planter up in a reference book for Mccoy pottery and that one was not valued, but other planters of the same year and much more plain than the one I sold were valued at $65.00 to $100.00—-I made some money and somebody else got a bargain. Yeah!!! I sure do love me somebody’s trash cause sometimes its my treasure.

I owe my latest flip to you Mrs. Late Night Coffee! I found four pairs of Trafalgar suspenders in the Salvation Army for 1.99 each. I read about suspenders on your blog and decided to give them a shot. Three of them are silk and one is the regular kind. As soon as I got home I put a silk pair up as a tester. It immediately got an opening bid of 39.99. As of now its at 78.00 with four more days to go and a ton of watchers. Thanks for generously sharing so much information. I would have never thought to check out suspenders.

At a yard two weeks ago I noticed this childs plastic chair with chrome legs. I thought it looked a little like a child sized Eames chair, but the name on it was Cosco. Well for a buck I figured what the heck. It sat around for about a week until I finally looked it up. Wow, these little chairs were hot! Originally they came with a vinyl pad (which I didn’t have) and they were used as booster seats. Just sold yesterday for $56.00. Not to shabby for a dollar investment and a little gut feeling!
