Hi, thanks for visiting me and list my blog on your roll! What a great idea with flipping friday – I have yet to sell anything of the stuff I collect, but I really should..My fear is to become a accumulator rather than a collector, and my partner thinks I drag too much stuff in the house! Luckily we just bought a big house with a huge basement!

    Love the new banner!!
I guess my best recent flip was a set of 4 Ralph Lauren coffee mugs with a Tartan design. 29 cents each at GW and sold for $48 for 4!

I also sold a vintage 80s Deco-Tel Grecian Cameo rotary phone on Etsy to a wonderful buyer in the Netherlands. Got it for $7 on (local GW stores….so free delivery) and sold it for $58.

This is my greatest flip, One day I was at a thrift store looking at some silverware bundles, there were about 25 pieces in each bundle taped together and each bundle cost $6.00. I noticed one bundle seemed very tarnished. I checked the back of one piece and it said sterling. I was pretty naive about this kind of stuff so i put it back. I thought “my husband is going to kill me if i bring in something else from a thrift store”. The next day I went back and it was still there so I bought it. Fast forward a couple of months I needed some fast cash so i decided to put the silverware on eBay. Within the next hour I had people asking me would I do a buy it now for $400- 500. One man wanted to drive from the neighboring state and pick it up. My husband advised me to let it stay at auction. Final price was $720 and my husband doesn’t complain about me bring stuff home from the thrift store anymore. That is what really pushed me into reselling.

This has been a pretty slow week for me. The best flip I had was a plus-size Susan Bristol NWT vest I picked up at Goodwill for $3.99 and sold for $34.99. That one saved the week for me! I almost didn’t buy it because I was on a limited budget for shopping that day and I thought it was not very pretty 🙂

I bought a 1966 Francie Barbie doll for 25 or 50 cents at a yard sale. I wasn’t sure about it because she was kind of dirty and although wearing the original bathing suit, it was kind of tattered. I also thought her hair may have been cut. But it was so cheap I took a chance. Glad I did! She sold for $39 at auction.
