Another successful trip….

I made my fall pilgrimage to The Gainesville Book Sale…and once again….it was amazing!  This makes the 11th time I’ve been and I can truly say I have never come back disappointed.  A three hour drive….a three hour wait…..over million books…..TOTALLY WORTH IT!!

Each time I get better….less junk…more quality…less money spent. I packed my car with great books for around $300.00. Not bad.

Some of the highlights:

15 issues of Somerset Studio

Dwarf Car Technology (a book that looks like nothing…but isn’t)

Tons of homesteading books

Aerial Trick books…some signed

Lots of obscure artist & photographer books (see this post for what that means)

Lots of great books on collecting unique items

30+ Renaissance sewing patterns (sometimes they sell patterns)

If you have an interest in selling books…check out what book sales are in your area at If you are in Florida in April or October, I HIGHLY recommend the Gainesville sale!

I did not realize that you are also in FL. I’m about an hour south of the Space Center.

Super nice buy on the Renaissance patterns. I never pass them by even if they’ve been cut/used. It may lower the value a bit but they still sell at a nice profit.
