Flippin’ Friday-#89

Welcome to Flippin’ Friday! A great place to find out what people are buying….and selling!

The sales are heating up! Last week, we read about a Stampin Up stamp set, a Far Side mug, a Lampchop plush doll, a Burberry keychain, a 1950s ladylike purse, vintage Tuppertoys Tupperware stencil art, a vintage 1925 Yearbook, a DMC Stitchers Guide, Jane Zimmerman embroidery pattern book, ten Inspirations embroidery magazines, Victorinox Swiss Army Sling Backpack, Eddie Bauer Small Travel Backpack/Purse, Roots Canada Collectible Reusable Messenger/Shopping Bag, 15″ Love a Lot Care Bear, and a Madame Alexander 14″ Charlie Brown Soft Plush Doll.

Wow! Those were some terrific sales everyone! Thanks for taking the time to share them!

If you have a great flip you’d like to share, just write it in the comments section below! We love reading them! Just be sure to include your item, what you paid, and what it sold for in the end.

Okay, a bunch of great flips. Last Saturday I bought 6 cross stitch kits. I listed them this week in my store. 3 I bought for 2.00 each. I sold all three of them the same day for 25.00 each. (I know, maybe I could have got more but what a quick flip from 6$ to 75$, and they are so easy to ship) I always pick up needlework kits, especially if they are unopened and less than 5.00. Still learning so much from all you guys. Thanks, Gretchen

Like everyone else my sales have been hurting. Im doing OK selling books… but ebay is killing me. So my big flip this week was a BURBERRY RAIN COAT LINER . It sold For $28.05 w/shipping, I paid $5 for it. Visit my blog for more details, http://properlyvintaged.blogspot.com/2012/06/like-else-my-sales-have-been-hurting.html

Some good shoes sales: NWOT Clarks Artisan T-Strap Heels $43 (paid 6), Merrell Barrado Lavender Suede Girls Shoes $25 (2), and a 1977 Vintage 9″ Thomas Dam Troll Doll w/ Original Clothes $30 (.99!). Here are my favorites: 1980’s Vintage Guess Lipstick Red Tiny Handbag $14 (.50) to Israel of all places, and…an Anthropologie Nest Brand Boho Embroidered Canvas & Leather Large Purse NWOT for $90! (paid 6 at GW) BOLO Anthropologie anything–they have a certain look & quality. The amazing thing is I had a Best Offer up on that purse, and would have happily taken $50! It is my highest sale ever, not including some Playmobil I sold for my sister. WOOT!!

Sales have unexpectedly picked up…but it may because I’m listing more regularly??

I found a Conair chrome hot lather machine at my favorite thrift, NIB. The box had some wear and was torn on one corner but the hot lather machine was perfect. I listed it right away because of Father’s Day coming up. It has been listed less than a week and sold today for $60($1.50). Score!!! Also sold a book this week that I have had listed for 9 months….I know that’s not a quick flip….but I seriously never thought it would sell. It was an old textbook from 1950 “The Perception of the Visual World”, by J. Gibson. I sold it for $142 ($.42). When I first listed the book there were several listed for $300 and $875. It PAYS to be patient…

Sales were in the toilet all weekend despite listing like crazy. So imagine how excited I was to wake up this morning and find I had sold a Super Why Talking Wyatt doll that I bought for $1.95, for $64.99 (free shipping) and they PAID!
